Effortless & Raw New Single from Colie Is So Refreshing

Indie Singer Colie

Colie fills hearts with warm assurance through sincere songwriting drawn from personal experience. The North Queensland singer songwriter intertwines indie and folk styles to create a smoky yet resolute vocal infusion of crisp clear poetry in music motion.

Colie released ‘Sunday News’ the first single from the forthcoming ‘Bug on a Lamplight’ EP to Triple J Unearthed in February 2019. Soon after its release ‘Sunday News’ (Single) reached #17 on the Triple J Unearthed overall charts and #8 on the Triple J Unearthed indie charts.

“It's a fully realised folk tinged indie sound with an intimate feel” (Dave Ruby Howe - Triple J Unearthed) [About single ‘Sunday News’].

In April 2019, Sunday News premiered on radio on Triple J’s Home & Hosed segment with guest host Alex Lahey. Sunday News is Colie's love song. The first track from "Bug on a lamplight" was written at the beginning of a new relationship, that feeling of excitement and adventure, when you're constantly learning new things about each other and having first experiences together. That feeling of wanting to tell the whole world, but deciding to wait for a moment to let it all sink in.

After kicking off 2019 in February with the release of single ‘Sunday News’ through Triple J Unearthed, Colie releases her debut EP ‘Bug On A Lamplight’ today,10th of May 2019 alongside a music video for ‘Sunday News’.
