DDK is 'Lookin For You' With Some Blues, Folk & Rock Debut Album

DDK New Zealand Indie Artist

Hailing from the heart of New Zealand, alternative singer songwriter, DDK, recently released his debut album Lookin For You. The 12 track collection became available on all major digital platforms from the 20th May 2019.

Lookin for You is an amalgam of songs which Dennis, the man behind DDK, has written over the course of his life. On this record he turns lyrics written on scrap pieces of paper into full production audio tracks, each inspired by the places he's seen and the people he has encountered.

DDK is passionate about bringing music into the lives of others and this debut record perfectly showcases the power of his raw vocals and imagination. With the addition of talented Dan Hewson on guitar, Billy Kristian on base, Mike Walker on piano and Alex Dixon slide guitar these songs spill out layers of inspiring artistry.

Growing up in Wellington, New Zealand Dennis has been influenced by a range of musicians from Rock n Roll of the 80's to traditional Country. Classic stars such as Tom Petty, Buddy Holly, The Beatles and The Amazing Rhythm Aces all played a crucial role in shaping DDK's sound into what it is today.

Before his solo singer-songwriter career Dennis played as part of many bands, one being popular NZ group Cockroach. Their success garnered the support slot for Bo Diddly on tour as well as a number of festival appearances.

This debut release, Lookin For You is just the start for DDK as he prepares his catalogue of over 100 songs for a second album in the next year.

Lookin For You is available to listen NOW on all major digital platforms!
