Armada Of Secrets Hides New Upcoming EP

Duo Armanda Of Secrets

London-based (via Slough) Armada Of Secrets is the lovechild of vocalist Caroline Kabera and bassist, Carl Dawkins. The two met in music school after Kabera immigrated to London from Ruanda. In the time since then, Carl has toured the world with a variety of bands and Caroline has worked hard for women’s care refuge charities (a cause close to her heart) and kept her singing local to the UK. Now they’re back together and are creating something really exciting.

Armada Of Secrets’ music is wildly bass and drum driven with intense, raw vocals that blend abstract dance and rock elements into one fresh sound that listeners can enjoy. It’s relevant, untamed and the band themselves have struggled to define their sound for years, but it’s infectious once heard.

How can you discover their music? You can find their previous release Kiss and Tell online. Their latest EP is currently hidden across the Internet for music fans to discover via clues on their website and social media sites. The new EP includes original works as well as some covers that the band has been asking fans to vote for along the way.

Why is it hidden? In a world where everything is full of instant gratification, this was a conscious decision by the band to get listeners excited to find their music by piquing their interest in an unusual and rewarding way.

If the clues prove too challenging, Kiss and Tell - the band’s first EP - is available from their Big Cartel site, or you’ll have to wait until the EP is offically released on 25th October. The first single, named No Strings (Attached), will be released on 2nd August and physical copies will be available for purchase on 6th September.

Armada Of Secrets have a spectacular live show that they’re really excited to share with fans this year. Live dates include a festival slot supporting The Lightning Seeds in Ashford in July, a home-town show on 31st October at a top-secret location and a Bristol show that is TBC.

Armada of Secrets believes in supporting charitable organisations. The most recent being Swan Lifeline (local to them in Windsor). The band have regularly aided the charity in their services, including the last two Christmas Days plus stripped back performances and even releasing merch with them to help raise awareness. They will be appearing at the charity’s open day on 22nd June.

The video for the track is to be released in August.

This is the bands first release since coming back from hiatus last year. The band have also been doing live cover videos of old school favourites (Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, The Ting Tings) while the band let their fans find the new track and whilst they complete their next release.

With a colourful history, a lot of stories, and a lot of mystery, this unlikely duo are back to finish what they started.
