Patrice Peris Take on 'War', Is Not What You Expect

Indie Artist Singer Patrice Peris

With the new year we have highly anticipated new music from Patrice Peris! Off the heels of success with Peris' last release "Take Me Home," an emotional ballad that received rave reviews, Peris decided to start off the new year with something uptempo and fierce.

Though the tropical house beat will make many listeners want to dance, if you take a moment to analyze the lyrics, they paint a different tune. When talking about the song Patrice said, "The War is about someone fighting to make a relationship go right, even when so much damage has already been done. I tend to write metaphorically, and so there are many references to the relationship in the sense of what you would see in war. It is intend to have the listener taken on a gradual ride of ups and downs until the bridge, where things finally "explode." I'm hoping this song can resonate with people for an array of reasons, similar to a song like "I Took A Pill in Ibizia.” One could initially listen to it and feel happy, but under the surface the lyrics have a darker tone and can pull people towards it for their own reasons.”

What does 2019 have in store for Patrice? Well, seeing as she has been hustling in the studio for the past few years now, listeners should prepare for an emotional rollercoaster ride as she is ready to start rolling out her string of singles!
