Lewis came to the United States with his wife in the mid-2000s he had two children and settle down as the drum manager in a local music concern. He started writing a couple songs expressing his love 4 the woman he cared the most for.
I heard the songs on my birthday December 2012. I had been managing music in the early years of my professional career before turning to the corporate world to make “honest” Living lol..!
I viewed his songs with great excitement as he was playing all the instruments and singing his own compositions. We started meeting every day for weeks and plotted a course under the name Forge the Rubicon.
The name was derived from when Caesar crossed the Rubicon River to conquer Rome and lore said he was cursed for this...and we know how that turned out..!
Fast forward five years later and we are now preparing to take 12 songs out to play live. Lewis is still performing alone but we've acquired the talents of a drummer to back him during our live performances.
The instrumentation changes for A different feel on every song that we have.
Being a trained commercial and creative writer I have helped with the lyrics and Lewis is making his Mexican lineage proud.
2019 will find Forge the Rubicon displaying its talents to live audiences throughout South Florida with an eye on going National and International in the not-too-distant future.
