‘Somebody To Love’ is the 6th release from Jase Lansky’s award winning Nashville recorded album ‘Rip it up!’. On the fun side the song takes a look at how someone can be so unlucky in life that they just keep rolling the dice and hope for the best. On the serious side it actually delves into self-depression and the darkness it holds.
“I wrote this song to reflect not only on my own life, but on close friends that are sadly no longer with us. My buddy committed suicide in 2011 and it absolutely rocked our world. He had an infectious smile, a contagious laugh and was a guy that the ladies and men absolutely adored. He hung with famous international rock stars, had a great circle of friends, would make you laugh in an instant, and just seemed to love life. But what hid behind that amazing smile was something that none of us knew or could see… He was my friend”.
‘Somebody To Love’ is a call out to anybody and everybody that grapples with self-worth. We are all good enough, we are all amazing, and we are all magical. And the song, well ‘Somebody To Love’ is all about loving yourself first.”
