Alternative Rock Band, ‘Other Son’ release their debut album, ‘The Darkness in Devotion’.
Other Son was born out of a mutual passion for music for high school buddies, Ian Hayes and Bretterson Allan Morgan.
Originally from Cleveland Ohio, Ian and Brett’s passion & bond of music over the past years is what’s seen them through life’s diverse twists & turns, resulting in a proven solid debut album.
As Ian and Brett’s love for music developed over time, it wasn’t until the ideas born through mutual song writing efforts transpired between them in February 2018.
While Ian is the primary songwriter, he would write as many songs as possible and send them to Brett to place vocals and lyrics on the tracks that interested him.
At this stage they were collaborating between Colorado Springs and Ohio, and from what began as demos for an album were transformed into final recordings with very minimal change from the demo stage.
“We each had total freedom over our parts on the songs with minimal to no change from the demos to the final product, songwriting wise. We wanted to capture the natural inclinations of our individual tendencies when working together, even without each other’s input. That was the goal for this album.”… said Ian.
‘The Darkness in Devotion’ was recorded and mixed by Nick Nodruft at Rusty Sun Audio in Parker, CO. and mastered by Mike Kalajian at Rogue Planet Mastering in New York, NY.
Other Son is still in its infant stages as Ian and Brett are looking for fellow musicians as passionate and committed as themselves to join their project in order to bring a live show to any new fans they may connect with through this exciting new Endeavour.
Playing live isn't the only thing these two envision for the band. They look forward to bringing exciting video content and interacting with their fans back home in Cleveland, here in their new home of Colorado, and anywhere new they might be discovered across the world!
