Having worked together across a range of different projects in the last few years, South-London production duo HAZMO step out on their own to release their debut offering ‘Don’t’ Talk About It’ featuring vocals from B Munro and Mo Brandis. HAZMO was born when the duo realised that they had a lot more to offer without being tied to one genre, and they created the project as a platform for featuring the freshest emerging artists.
The first track ‘Don’t Talk About It’ features London based B Munro, an exciting raw talent with a captivating voice, who has recorded her debut record with Grammy nominated Greg Wells (One Republic, Katy Perry, Adele). Also featuring Mo Brandis, who himself has already garnered Top 10, platinum and gold releases as a songwriter in over ten countries, while his recent solo releases received influential tastemaker support and placements on Spotify’s editorial playlists including ‘Chilled Pop Hits’.
‘Don’t Talk About It’ is a dark, moody pop offering that touches in on soulful electronica influences. Full of brooding analog synths, gripping vocals and haunting reverbs, ‘Don’t Talk About It’ is a remarkably accomplished debut foray for HAZMO, a duo that will no doubt grab immediate tastemaker support.
Speaking on the release: “Before we write a song together we often just talk for while to see what stories or feelings we can uncover in that moment. We started chatting about a festival we all went to and feeling like we never wanted to leave that state of mind. It was like the smallest thing could snap you out of the moment, even talking about it or labelling it, and we just tried to encapsulate it in this song.“
