Since her last release of “One Love” singer/songwriter Patrice Peris has been a vigorous force in the recording studio! With several songs set to be released in the upcoming months; Patrice has just released the first taste of her upcoming EP War with single Take Me Home!
The emotional ballad will tug at even the coldest of souls heartstrings, with the emotions reminiscent of Adele and lyrical style of Rihanna. In talking about her latest single Peris says, "this is one of my favorite and greatest pieces to date. I've been heavily writing the past year and this one came fairly quickly. I knew the second it was done I had to do something with it."
Of the process she says, "sometimes in the process of writing you forget or decide against certain songs but with this one i couldn't leave it alone, there was no question that I had to get it into the studio. I did however sit on it for about half a year and it was in the hands of a few producers but timing is everything and I am so thankful to have been able to team up with Jonah Bencal (a producer with Grammy Nominated Surefire Creative Studios.) He knew exactly what I was going for and was able to really bring the song to life."
In conclusion Peris says, "I know I'm a sap, so this EP is my tribute to all the star crossed lovers out there. My hope is people walk away and really feel something. This song embodies so many emotions and in a world where things can be a little numb. I'm hoping to shake things up a bit and break down people's walls, if even for a moment." With more songs slated to be released in the upcoming months, including a tropical house dance track titled "The War," this is the perfect kick off of what is to come from this talented artist.
