Leeds-based band started their journey 15 years ago, on the very first day of primary school, and as their friendship blossomed so did their love of music.
Now having developed a perfect combination of emotive, heartfelt lyrics and captivating harmonies, all layered on uplifting folk-pop melodies, Sunflower Thieves are quickly making a name for themselves and have secured numerous live performances with Sofar Sounds.
Sunflower Thieves have a unique talent for taking tragedy and creating something beautiful, allowing the listener to feel hope in spite of heartache, and their new track ‘Two Halves’ is no exception. Following the story of a close friend who lost her memory after an accident, ‘Two Halves’ portrays the struggles of slowly rekindling a friendship whilst not being a threat to her new life.
Doing in for themselves, Sunflower Thieves write, play, produce and mix all of their own tracks, proving them to be a genuine talent built for the long haul.
