Life's Lessons; Tony Cook

Tony Cook Single

Tony Cook’s new single ‘Life’s Lessons’ tells a tale of an old ringer (stockman) giving some advice about the things he’s learnt in life. Penned after a chance meeting, Tony gives a remarkable insight into the mindset of our beloved outback heroes and the heart of a good man’s soul.

His new release has been produced by Gold Guitar winning Producer Matt Fell at Love Hz Studios.

“Matt immediately commented on the vocal saying it sounded like Van Morrison. Others have commented about how the song has a bluesy soul feel to it. Needless to say, ‘Life’s Lessons’ is a tune we humbly feel sends a warm and heartfelt message and is worth a listen.”

Tony’s music reflects his background, having grown up in remote North Western and Central Queensland, he writes about his experiences and adventures, from working on cattle and sheep stations to enlisting in our Defence Force and as a travelling Country Music Singer and Songwriter. Tony is passionate about the outback and its people and through his collection of original compositions he hopes to make you fall in love with this special part of his world. Based in Rockhampton, Tony has recorded one EP so far and is soon to release his debut album.

With Tony Cook’s country anthem ‘Laidback Country’ making no:2 nationally, his smash single ‘That’s Country’ spending 5 weeks at number 1, and with plenty of recent chart success, we are sure that ‘Life’s Lessons’ will be a great follow up.

Tony is delighted to announce that he will appear on stage October 27th at the Townsville Rock Fest Gone Country with headliners Troy Cassar-Daley & The Mcclymonts and at the Tasmanian Independent Country Music Awards in Launceston October 13th as an award nominee.
