This country duo from Houston, Texas has a name that seems to apply to them extremely well. With their talent they'll be spreading just as fast as Wild Fire, and the world needs to be watching!
The country pair consists of sisters, Kelli and Kayla Lutzwig, who have been developing their musical abilities since the age of six. Quickly both girls picked up guitar and writing music as their love for performing began to grow. When asked about their influences, with little hesitation, the name Maren Morris was the answer. The duo explains that she has "great command over her vocals, and she is an incredible songwriter". Many people would be saying the same about these two sisters.
The girls have been performing in theatre and dance productions for many years, so being on stage with confidence is a special talent for them. Since forming their band in 2016, Wild Fire has played some major venues in Texas. Their favourite venue was the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, but they have also showed off their amazing talent in other places such as: The NGR Stadium, The Sugarland Opry, the Liberty Opry, The Firehouse Saloon and many more.
The duo released their self-titled EP in May of 2017, including 4 original songs, as well as one unplugged version of their song "Believe". The band has released four singles on top of their EP. The most recent one being their song "Cure", which captures an audience with the sweet lyrics about young love. These girls encompass a feeling of youth and hope within their music, which reflects how dedicated they are to their music and career.
They have an excellent drive that is pushing them toward their dream, and with each new challenge they come across, they find a way to overcome it. Every artist faces the issue of writers block, but Wild Fire knows just how to get through it. Whether it's taking a walk, going to the park or just getting out of their room, the girls find inspiration naturally when they're having issues with writing - not to mention the benefit of always having your best friend around for motivation.
Being sisters, the girls definitely know all about one another, but they are still learning the ins and outs that come with being in a band together. The duo explains that it is super easy to practice and write together due to the fact that they live together. However, for the same reason, they find their voices sounding similar at some points so they're always watching for ways to avoid this in their music.
Currently, the girls are continuing to write and soon hope to release another EP. They are collaborating with some very high up industry professionals and are working extremely hard to put together new music that just about anybody will enjoy listening to. They are obviously on the rise, and no one can douse their flame!
