This song, like many of Verity’s, is a rocker with a pulse. Pounding drums and distorted guitars flirting with punk rock with a modern twist, while Verity is shouting her plea, are making this one another anthem of female empowerment, and boy(!) do we need that still in this day and age! This one sounds like the #meToo song that is missing in our life. Way to go!
Don’t take Verity for granted, because you don’t own her, is the main message here. Yet, during the quieter bridge she admits her own fragility, like a delicate flower underneath, but don’t make this fool you for a minute, because when the chorus hits you back you will know that this one is not to be trifled with!
