Lance Birrell is a multi-award-winning artist, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist based in Dubbo NSW.
Boasting ‘Grand Finalist’ in the Golden Guitar Awards, and having worked with the finest recording artists from Australia and overseas, Lance is one of Australia’s most sought after solo entertainers and a true professional. His versatility allows him to cover a wide range of music styles from country through to rock classics as he performs throughout the state during the year and makes trips interstate to perform at various music festivals.
The Ballad Of Kokoda, Lance Birrell’s latest single, was written by Lance after being contacted by the president of the Quirindi RSL NSW, Doug Hawkins.
The song is to be the theme for the opening ceremony and will serve to promote the Liverpool Plains Kokoda Memorial Walkway which covers an area from Quirindi through to Werris Creek in NSW. The Kokoda walkway will be a major tourist attraction across the nation, and has been constructed in memory of the men who defended Australia.
