Perth's Foxton Kings write the kind of riffs that kick you in the face. And, while you're recovering, they hit you with barrage after barrage of searing vocal hooks. Relentless is a good word for it all. By the end of their latest single Money,Money, it is impossible not to be on board.
Opening with a salacious groove before kicking into savage riffery, Money, Money is both rock'n'roll and a personal 'fuck you' to a shady character from the band's past. This added emotional realness is the tipping point of Money, Money, which leads the charge of a more aggressive approach by the band overall. Since their last single, 2017's Mookaite, Foxton Kings have found their snarl.
Captured by gun producer Andy Lawson (Gyroscope, Tired Lion) this level of intensity is everywhere on Foxton Kings' forthcoming EP With Love. Supercharging their songwriting with the power of their live show, everything is starting to fall into place for Foxton Kings. To celebrate, they will launch Money, Money at North Perth's 459 Bar on Saturday, June 16 – kicking off a busy few months of live shows before launching the EP later in the year.
