Alt Country Rock artist Tony Lee offers up his first single, the title track from his new the album, ‘So Far from the Truth’.
Rock pop meets bluegrass smash to bring this upbeat honest first single forth from what promises to be a great new album releasing on the 26th of May, nicely timed to conclude New Zealand Music Month.
Tony has refined his sound adding more country arrangement and foot stomping rock to his repertoire.
Tony says… “When I released my last album "Road Less Travelled" I didn't include my sister Sam in the acknowledgements. This inevitably led to some hurt feelings. There followed a few weeks of angst that eventually got sorted out”.
So this song is the result of the two siblings who love each other very much but were both annoyed at each other and reflects the helplessness you can feel when you don't know how to fix things.
Tony Lee's debut solo album 'Road Less Travelled' received high accolades in the press with critics loving Tony's 'wear your heart on your sleeve' approach to songwriting. His music video for 'All that a man can do" has been internationally recognised, making the semi finals in the ISC (International Songwriting Competition), and for a nomination in the music video category at the Limelight Film awards in London. The video was produced by Neil Whitman who had made videos for Chris Rea and Robbie Williams.
'So far from the truth' also features on 'Best Kept Kiwi Secrets' the Kiwi Country Music Compliation releasing at the end of the month.
Tony hails from the Waikato and is releasing the single 'So Far from the Truth to both Australia and New Zealand radio.
