Fronted by Dan White, an enthusiastic collaborator, multi-instrumentalist and fingerstyle artisan, Blue Child Collective are a fluid groove n' roots outfit based in and out of Margaret River.
After a well-received 14 date tour of New Zealand and a mammoth 20 date run around Australia in support of single Wattle Tree Corroboree, BCC are now set for a 6000km regional road trip for 11 WA shows to promote the title track from their upcoming fourth album Wake Up To The Sound.
An upbeat, lively dance tune featuring skanky guitar and punchy horns, Wake Up To The Sound carves out vivid imagery as BCC dissect the nature of sound with their light-hearted yet philosophical exploration of vibration, provoking the listener to think about music and life in a fresh new light.
Showcasing some of the country's finest musicians (Charles Wall - Xavier Rudd, Bobby Alu; OJ Newcomb - Band Of Frequencies; Ken Allars - Caravana Sun; PaulieB - The Beautiful Girls, plus BCC frontman Dan White and long-time air compressor/saxophonist Lindsay Baker), Wake Up To The Sound will build upon the success of third record Saturn Saw The Seaside, that saw the Collective knock out over 200 shows across AU/NZ since its release in September 2016.
With recent airplay on triple j's Roots N' All and having been identified as key movers and shakers in the #cultureofconnection movement, Blue Child Collective have hit a stride of pure inspiration that is positively lighting their bright musical future.
