Blending new wave pop and hip-hop Hudson Wallace is back with the lead single from his upcoming mixtape, 'You're The One Who Walked Away'. Taking his sound in a new direction Hudson seeks the balance between catchy danceable hooks and serious lyricism. To celebrate the release of this new single Hudson has will bring his electric live show to Fitzroy's iconic Workers Club and enlisted local legends MC Wasp and Dopebeat, party gods Huge If True and newcomer Alexander Horton, in his debut support slot, to join him on the lineup. 'I really wanted to explore a new sound with this project.' Hudson said. 'I grew up listening to mainstream pop music and it's my second love after hip-hop. I love what artists like Robyn, Troye Sivan and Charli XCX are doing, taking traditional pop methods and twisting them into an alternative sound. That's definitely what I aspire to do with my music, a blend of alt pop and hip-hop.'With a new sound helmed for his second project, a mixtape called 'We Need To Talk About Hudson', by producer The Delivery Boy that complete diverts from his debut 2017 release 'Midnight', Hudson has come to party.
At least if you're that person awkwardly drinking in the corner of the party.
