Swirl The Band | We came off the road fueled by the bonds created from extensive touring and entered

LA area hard rock band Swirl are cashing in on their good fortune with regard to film licensing opportunities and as a result the arrow is pointed up with a bullet! 3 songs are featured in the award winning independent movie 'Ditch Day'.

The film stars Emmy Award winning actor Bill Oberst Jr. and took home the "Best Feature Film" Award at the Burbank International Film Festival. The songs are "Rise Up", "We Are Alive" and "Spell".

Swirl was formed by the Jones brothers (literally and culturally) who were raised in Anchorage, Alaska! With DT on guitar, Brian on drums, Shane Carlson on bass and Alfred Ramirez rounding out the lineup we immediately began touring the US in 2008, logging over 50,000 miles in the first year alone!

We came off the road fueled by the bonds created from extensive touring and entered the studio. The end result is the selft titled release 'SWIRL' which is an emotionally uplifting, collection of lyrics everyone can use to alter their mood to a positive, self motivated state while cleverly paired with an equally well written hard rock musical background accompaniment.

Since the release of 'Ditch Day' press is now coming in from all over the globe. In addition to North America, there is a significant rise in global presence for Swirl in the form of reviews, interviews, airplay and "Band of the Day/ Week/ Month" honors.

Japan, Greece, Germany, The Netherlands, Canada, France, The UK, Bangalore, Italy, Saudi Arabia and more are all favourably picking up on the Swirl sound.

In the spring Swirl released the music video 'Rise Up" (feat. scenes from the 'Ditch Day' movie).
