I tell the story of an individual whose back is against the wall with zero intentions of surrendering.
It’s always been more than music but music has always been the trailer for this movie in which I live.
This isn’t your stereotypical blockbuster movie; my story is quite peculiar and unorthodox.
Being from the Southside of Chicago you see many wild things and for a rose to blossom out of a concrete jungle is always impressive. Me being that rose displays hope for many and sheds light to areas many choose not to acknowledge.
My music represents my life in many ways but you will have to tune in to actually grasp my story, the final chapter has yet to be written.
Hunnid, as of recent is a 2015 October artist of the month, 2x music award winner and 3x nominated artist from the south side of Chicago.
Hunnid stuns his listeners with brilliant lyrical content and passionate packed punch lines.
Music has been in Hunnid's life since a child and at about 18 Hunnid began to take music seriously and delve deeper into his craft.
However it’s more than music with Hunnid, he states "I'm speaking for those people at the bottom without power or a voice, it’s bigger than me!"
After listening to Hunnid's music I experienced the passion and power he expresses from the powerless people's point of view. I am confident Hunnid's music isn't like any other artist because not only is the lyrical content unique, his voice provides a passion that allows you to empathize the pain he is delivering. Restoring the intended meaning and purpose to hip hop and rap is focal to Hunnid.
He mentions that "Not many people can do what I do and be good at it but that's not my goal with music. My goal is to bring power to the powerless through music, I actually have a message."
I noticed that Hunnid is quite the complex artist with monumental intentions and hopefully we get to witness the message he plans to deliver.
